Finally shaking off that jet lag and getting used to the flow of how things are working here in Japan. Can't speak Japanese worth a crap yet though so getting around has been a bit tough. Thankfully, I've got Hana and her (gracious) family to help me get by.
Went to a festival called the "Tobacco Festival" yesterday and did my best not to stick out. Mission failed on that, but alas しょうがない (can't be helped).
Having an amazing time so far. Good food, good company. Hana's family has been beyond welcoming. Happy to be here :)
So happy your having a good time over there. When does your schooling start? Will you have a long commute? Are you getting enough to eat? Money wise is it cheaper or more expensive than Portland?
